There are lots of stories about the of the origin  valentines day but the most popularly believed story is Saint Valentine of Rome was forbidden to perform any wedding of any soldiers by the king but he disobeyed the kings order and for that he was imprisoned and was going to be executed by the Roman law, during that time of his imprisonment the jailer’s daughter felt ill and Saint Valentine cured his daughter and wrote a later to her and signed it as “Your Valentine” – and this started the tradition of valentine’s day.
